EXERCISE CLASS FOR ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS
Class to
resume on Tuesday, January 5th
Tuesdays and Fridays 10-11am.

Betty will be teaching yoga stretches and poses, weight training for
the mature generation, (nothing too strenuous or to develop muscles,
but to keep what we have healthy) and low impact aerobics. To finish
off the class – meditation, where we can cool down and learn
how to face the “traffic of life”.
DAYS: Tuesdays and Fridays
TIME: 10:00am-11:00am
ITEMS NEEDED FOR CLASS
YOGA: Small pillow
A mat (also available at the Center)
Belt, bungee cord or exercise band
WEIGHT TRAINING: 1 OR 3 POUND WEIGHTS
(Or anything that equals that weight that is comfortable in your hands)
EXERCISE BALL: There will be a balance ball class that works mostly
on the “core” a nice name for your belly or abs. The balls
are available in most stores such as Wal-Mart, Christmas Tree Shop,
Kmart, Olympia Sports and other stores that carry exercise equipment.
Be advised that these balls come in various sizes, so be sure to check
it out with a clerk to determine the correct size for your height
and weight.
DRESS: Comfortable clothing that you can move freely in
